This piece is an illustration of the beasts envisioned in the Old Testament book of Daniel and in the New Testament book of Revelation. Some Bible scholars consider the beasts symbolic of different empires that dominated during main periods of world history. 

    I have posted this photograph to show the work in progress and also to provide an idea of how I make the beadwork. It is done without a loom and pieced together a little like a quilt.
